ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    Triple stack!

So, I just ordered a spacer from MadSpleen. I posted in a thread about trying to get this h23 intake manifold, and it ended up being a manual. I have an Auto. But I also posted wonderings on if it was possibe to swap the rotor assembly from my f22 throttle body, to the h23's throttle body, with the h23 throttle body being a manual. So, since I already have the f22a6 intake manifold, I have 1 spacer. Just bought another. And the h23 IM will have ANOTHER. So that's 3!

So, what I'm wondering, is with a triple stack...I know I'll get more top end, but what about the low end? Will anything suffer or gain? It might be too high for my hood, so I'll lift that up a bit if so.

I have a feeling it's going to be the opposite of what you're thinking. It's going to lack top end power since you're making the runners longer, thus giving you more torque. But who knows, dyno a before and after to see the gains

The double stack was dyno'd to add 5 extra horses. (blacktrax) I don't see anyone that's done this, tried searching. Might have to just do it and see. The girlfriends uncle owns a hardware store, so I could get all the extended bolts and such, with no problem.

They tuned for it though. And they prob hogged out the runner holes to make for more plenum volume.

Plus w/a triple stack you might run into throttle cable issues. I don't see the point

Well, I purchased this spacer from MadSpleen, then come to find out, I could use the manual h23 IM, so now I have 3 spacers. Figured, why not just use them all. I plan on running a p06 here shortly after the regrind. Never thought about the throttle cable though, good call.

You are definitely going to have a problem with your throttle cable with 3 spacers.

really? isnt the throttle cable fixated relative only to the upper plenum and TB?

I have a double stacked iab and the throttle cable is tight as it is. I had to turn the thing that holds the throttle cable around to get the double stacked iabs to fit. With another plate you are raising the plenum/throttle body another inch.

Well you could always get another throttle cable. Or you could do a little bit of creative thinking and make the stock one work.
Also which one adds torque, is it increase in plenum volume(longert runners) or is it the opposite? I always forget figured it's a good time to ask.

I say do it if you cant get bolts easily. No place around me has bolts long enough.
I would have to buy threaded rod and cut to size.

I dont remmeber the cable being hard to put on when i did the spacer, plenum and tb swap.

If you do the hood spacer(theres a diy on it) then that should solve your hood clearance problems.

I thought this was gonna be talking about burgers, damn I'm hungry. Idk if three plates would really be much help. I think its just taking it too far.
