ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    DSM turbo manifolds

I see a lot of the turbo set ups on here are using the dsm turbo manifolds and i was curious if i could use one of the aftermarket ones instead of the factory manifold.

I was also curious as to what year turbo manifolds people have been using from the DSM cars.

Sorry... to actually answer the question...

The reason why they work is that the ports match up. You have to drill the manifold to make it able to be bolted to the F22 head, so you'd have to do that with stock as well as aftermarket manifolds.

1st and 2nd gen have the same fitment. As said above, 2nd gen had a better design.

Very true. If you're going to get an aftermarked DSM manifold, just get an aftermarket F22 turbo manifold instead! They DO exist.

Yeah they do exist..but a lot of them have shitty design. Especially if what u want is cast(for strength/durability) most on ebay are either ching chow meow..or log style cast with the turbine flange facing forward= headache for fitment..the dsm is nice because of turbo placement(when flipped not traditional way) aka no hacking of block..

There's a dsm manifold on ebay right now(several actually) that are aftermarket cast..flow better than stock..and have external wg flange built in..also its t3 based not dsm..

Mike..ouch on the ban..but yah gotta do whatcha gotta do..lol..(steps back lightly)

That's the one thing I'm VERY strict about here.

                The rules are quite clear.

And respond to my PM dammit!

A manifold won't destroy your engine. The worst it'll do is crack and decrease performance. Though getting quality is never a bad idea.

However, using a manifold made for another car and redrilling it isn't really much better than buying a cheaply made manifold that is actually DESIGNED for the motor.

Well what i was thinkin of doin was gettin one made for the DSm cars and getting an F22 flange and just having them re-welded so i dont have to re-drill the dsm flange....id get one made for my car but i wanna keep my power steering and get rid of the a/c
