camber kit

ok, so 2day i aligned my car due to inner wear, they did it & said ima need a camber kit due to the drop they said ima still have tht inner wear, im kinda new to camber kits.

so i'll like to know more about it i searched it but didnt find my answer, wats included in camber kits? wat is it exactly tht i need?

like i said im new to it soo yeaa any help would b great...

Ingalls are going to be what you are looking for man. Look for that on ebay and you can find a set for a reasonable price.

For the front, you will need a set of adjustable upper ball joints, you can purchase these separately and have them pressed into your current upper arms. Or you can purchase a nice set of arms with the BJ's already done up with poly bushings from TAS.

For the rear, you can get longer Grade 8 bolts and some washers to space out the upper arms from where they bolt to the car body. Don't be tricked into buying a $50 camber kit for the rear, that is all it consists of.

The reason you have to do this is because our Hondas have no camber adjustment, so the tech can just "set the toe and let it go" as they say.

word, theres a diy for that i think, i did it myself for the whopping cost of $3.67.

this also depends on the amount of drop, anything more than about 2" and youll need adjustable links for the rear instead of just shimming the upper arms.

I have never priced them out, so

I saw them at NAPA once, $120 each. Search around the web, see what comes up. Amazon is a good place, sometimes you can find good deals there.

That is a MUCH safer option than replacing the ball joints themselves.

The stock upper control arms are not designed to have the ball joints replaced. To replace them, you run the risk of weakening the metal, which could result in catastrophic failure (and that stuff doesn't break when you're parked... you'll be going 75 on the freeway, or tearing up a twisty road)

Many people have done it, and none have failed yet... but I'd still avoid the risk.
