Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    cranking problem

    My car cranks when it wants to. i just fixed a blown head gasket but is it possiblemto have a messed up distributor? it cranks up jus fine i the mawning but then in the mid day i may have to give it a lil gas so help

    Well your car is electronically fuel injected so no matter how many times you hit the gas pedal its still going to get the same amount of fuel when cranking. I did a headjob for a customer about 2 weeks ago on a 97 accord. We held the car for about a week till she paid for it.... and every morning pull ing it out of the shop it would fire right up but in the afternoon going to pull it in it took about 5 seconds of cranking.... and it had a little smoke. so we let it run for about 45 minutes and as far as i know it starts up fine everytime now... The customer was happy and i was happy!

      yea it smokes when it cranks. it does crank in the mawning but in the evening and when i drive it for bout 20 mins thats to and from school then iget out of it and try to crank it and it just spins over and pisses me off!!! so then i let it sit for bout a hour go back out and it starts but i still see the smoke in my rear view and its just there. my mechanis says it steam but it didt do that before my head job. so what the deuce

        did u make sure everything was TDC? are you throwing any codes, u sure u got all the groudns connected EVEN THE ECU GROUND UNDER THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING?
        What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

        You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

          i am throwing a fuel code 43 but that but happening. i havent checked that but i will in the mawning. would you think it could be anything else could check?

            43 is also called the "rich" code. Be sure you have enough spark to combust.

              if your getting code 43, confirm that the fuel pump is turning on.

              since the car is running then it can be a fuel delivery problem.
              What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

                    i changed my rotor button and dizzy and problem still occurs.wat the deuce could it b? i did fine until it warmed up then kept sputtering
