ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    My accord

Ok so yesterday i was talkin to my friend about doin the 30 hp for 500 on my cb7 stock. so he told me y am i gonna do it for that its just a waste of money cause i got a peice of shit motor.. he has a civic with b20 engine i believe and another civic with k20 turbo. well anyways i told him i wanted to do it as a temporary engine while i save up for my h22a swap. he told me its not worth it, to save the headache.Makes me wanna work harder for my swap and turbo so i can show him

That jus one opinion, guys give me ur ideas.. i luv my cb too much to sell it and get a civic.

put a dsm turbo setup on your car and get it tuned. you'll be sitting pretty nice for not so much $$$. H22 + turbo is gonna cost your a lot of coin at the end of the day.

Mine said the same thing about mine. He was saying "It's just an Accord. Why bother?"
But, he's a big domestic guy, has like 3 Fox body Mustangs.

The 30hp for $500 is a pretty good deal especially if you score the used honda parts for even cheaper! However if you looking for real power I'd deal with the stocker for now and save your money for making some big hp if thats the long term goal.

why do a whole swap and then boost it, instead just save up the same money and drop it on the f. after buying the h you would have to build it for turbo, our engine can handle low psi as is, in my opinion its better when you kick ass and pop the hood only to show a single over- head non v-tech killing machine instead of the usual dual over head h22. im already hunting the parts for a turbo on my car

^ Why I wouldn't sell my Accord. Civics are nice but dudes who drive them most of the time are overly turned on by their vtec. Sure would be nice to go against one of their b-series engine and spanking them with an f22. Ahhhh the look on their faces when they see what's under the hood would be so satisfying

The F22A head will outflow that B20 head, as well as just about any domestic piece out there.

Your friend is an idiot. Take comfort in the fact that he knows nothing... and has to go through life being a moron.

I'm pretty set on the F22 being a waste of money/time to make fast but it is different. If I had to make more power with one a mild dsm setup would be the way to go. Otherwise i'd just buy another dsm if I wanted to build a street/race car on a budget
