    02 sensor

Anyone got a 1990 ex coupe with the f22a4? if so will you take a pic of your 02 sensor wires the ones from the factory harness and the one from the o2 sensor. Still trying to figure out which wires go to which. HMMM.. Damn kids always gotta cut stuff

    #2
ok so turns out when the kids put the header on they had to relocate the o2 sensor to the #3 header tube up in front of the motor. and when doing so they needed to lengthen the wires. So thatswhy i had some wacked up colored wires. So what do i need to do !? is there a way to relocate the o2 back to the original postion on the down pipe or can i leave it on the #3 tube and bypass it or somthin idk!? confused i guess. It looks like a cheap ass header so idk.

I'd have a muffler shop weld in a O2 port on the down pipe where it's supposed to be. That way you don't have to dick around with lengthening the wires now or in the future. Also, then you have peace of mind that any custom wiring is not causing a driveability issue.

Its not really causing a drivability issue just the damn checkengine light is one. Wish it would be off. I have been driving it around for a month now with no o2 sensor. Just gets bad gas milage and pings real bad like im runnin shitty gas lol.

so ive decided to just replace the header with one that has the o2 in the correct postion to begin with. I have heard a lot about megan headers and i see that it already has the o2 placed correctly. Is there any others?! ill take any input and or advice.

yes you probably can, the only thing is you change the resistance value most of the time when adding longer wires, match up the wires to their correct locations and see if the light goes off. i would take a pic and show you the correct way but unfortunately im not sure mine are correct, i have the mil on mine also

Is your check engine light on? I have looked at all the wires that the previous owner have made longer and they just used the blue wire connectors. I will tear it all apart and solder them on and i have a wiring digram out of the repair manual and it says which wires goto which so i hope if i resolder everything and it will make a good connection hopefully it will stay off. I did have it hooked up and it would stay off for about 20min then it will turn back on. And then i had to mess with it and now its totaly screwed haha.
And what do you mean you have the "mil" on yours?!

if you can match up the correct wires then just do that and see if it goes off. but you have to consider the o2 sensor is in a different place than the manufaturer originally had it. it may not read correctly at one of the tubes coming off of the header. you can also check the resistance value of the o2 sensor itself to see if the sensor is good

Does the o2 sensor go into one single header tube or down below? Is that an ebay header? Thanks for all the help!

close to topic could a missing o2 sensor cause it to act like its flooding and dieing
