ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    exhaust pipe?

so my friend gave this muffler with a burnt tip. not sure what kind but it has a 2.5 inlet and 4 outlet what size piping should i use? i ask because he said i should get 2.25 piping and i thought i should get 2.5 cause of the inlet size. what should i do?

You can use 2.5" or 2.25" piping.
2.25" is ideal for a pretty stock F-series.
If you're running an H or heavily modded F, get 2.5".

2.5" will also be slightly louder than 2.25".

What engine do you have? You willl loose throttle response at low rpm with 2.5" piping and not enough gain at higher rpm to make up for it. I would definitely go with 2.25" piping (unless you are making 200hp+)
Also, have you looked into generic cat-backs on ebay? They are a little over a hundred bucks and a perfect fit. That may be a better option than buying a muffler and piping and then welding it together.

i have a f22a6 with cai and i have a header with a test pipe just want to finish the full exhaust and that was all i planned on doing. i would do the catback but he gave me this muffler.

Unless you plan on doing more engine work, you'll be fine with 2.25" piping.

Did you just want to cut your muffler off and get that welded on? They usually just expand the pipe or add a cheap already expanded pipe converter and weld that inline.

i am going to run the 2.25 piping from the header back. i already have the header and the muffler just need the piping.
