For some reason there is a rattling noise coming from my h22a when we started it yesterday. Would anyone have any ideas upon what that might be? We let the car run for a while because we thought maybe the oil wasnt getting to that spot yet due to the fact that it has been sitting in my garage for about a year. anything would help! thanks.

Yea the oil levels are fine and the belts are fine as well. I fear that it may be coming from the block
but I'm not sure. My friend who is practically doing the swap told me he isnt sure what it could be, but hopefully it is just something lose nothing major

No it is a 5SPD h22a with a h23 Tranny. Its really pissing me off lol I'm so close to getting to be able to drive my car but shit keeps happening
I think the whole not being able to pass 4K is because we didnt wire up the Vtec and its in limp mode right?? or am I totally wrong in assuming so much? lol

What ECU is it running? And is there a CEL on?
The rattling could be anything... I'd focus on fixing the other issues, and perhaps you'll figure out the rattling along the way.

Pull the codes. I don't know if not having vtec wired would even give you a code. It could be something serious.
