Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    ignition lock problem

    I just bought my car and its a stolen recovery, and i wanted to know if anyone knows how much would the whole ignition lock assembly and a full set of keys cost and what trouble will I be going through? and also where can I get everything cheap?

    Majestic Honda sells them.

    $375 if you want to get a kit that has the doors too. You'd have to pick your car, I just chose a 1991 4DR EX

      Or you could just put a couple of toggle switches under the dash, one to run the ignition and one for "on" mode.

      Old New England trick for old cars with messed up ignition switches.

      Make sure it's someplace where you're not going to jostle it with your knee by accident.

        hello thanx on lettin me know i will tell my hubby to check on that for me if it comes down that we cant buy it right now.

          You could also probably go to a junkyard and take all the parts from a car there. Just make sure they have the keys to it!

            thank u yea manny said he was gonna past by when he gets a chance and he was thinking the same thing it would probably cost him less to do it that way. and now i found another problem the driver side window is messed up it gets stuck and the door handle is broken so im going to have to get that fixed to or just get a whole new driver side door. its coo though its all goin to b a workin progress. thanx again for the tip
