Ebay Headers

So im planning on getting new headers soon

I already have some after market stainless steal already installed but i have a blown gasket n a couple of holes in the muffler which are above the muffler and is required for a mechanic to take apart the header to reach so ive decided to just buy a whole brand new 1

Im looking at three types of headers on ebay with different prices

Cost: $82


Cost:$99.99


Cost: $80


So my question is, are the quality of each of these difference since the prices vary from like $80-$100 or do they all come with the same quality?

Has anyone experience one to be better than another/ or in increase or HP?

Get one with atleast a 2" collector.

They're all the same. Take your pick, black, silver, or stainless.

That first black one shows 1 3/4" don't know if it really is or not.

They all look the same to me, just different colors. Build quality should be the same. They're Ebay headers.

If you're "getting some new headers soon," I would suggest a v6 or v8 engine.

Don't get the 3rd one you posted if you have Air Conditioning. The 4th pipe sticks out too far, and it took us 2 hours to install the header. Would've taken longer if we didn't just take the A/C line off. So yea, no A/C right now because of it. The header I bought 2 1/2 years ago was nowhere near being close to the A/C line, and it was also off Ebay.

I have had my cheap eBay black ceramic header ($60) on my car for over a year and I have not had any considerable rusting problems at all. My header is wrapped but I switched the wrap out for new after about 10-11 months and that is when I could see that the header had no rust.

If you buy anything other then a really high end header (like a Bisimoto header that will give you considerable gains), the difference is going to be unnoticeable between a header like a eBay no name, Megan racing, DC Sports and a F22A4

What you should do is just get the cheapest no name header off of eBay and just upgrade your gaskets.

The gaskets that come with the eBay header is made very low quality. They are known to blow out very fast and you will have a exhaust leak in no time. Mine happened to blow out in about a week.

Holy crap !!!

When you mated that flange with the header, how much of that hi-temp copper silicone was forced into the pipes causing a restriction ? Get some exhaust gasket material and cut your own gaskets. I prefer the steel core stuff but you need a Dremel to cut out the gaskets.

#1's header section looks small and therefore restrictive. #3's flexpipe looks cheap and may break sooner than wanted. #2 looks of good quality to me. To bad I can't afford it.

i plan on doing this real soon. i've tried everything from cutting my own gaskets to buying brand new ones that didnt even last 2 weeks. OMO if your going to buy an ebay header, when you get it check for trueness/flatness, between your header and downpipe, b/c most leaks are created by warped surfaces.
