ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Car hesitates while idle during initial start

Well, Today I went to start my car just to check to see if the fan is work

I start my car for the first time in 3-4 days, My car hesitates during idle

it sound like it run on 3 cylinder or something. It does sound like a subaru LOL
but after 1-2 min it stop and it went back to normal

Could this be my piston rings are going bad? or something else? I know my car is burning oil. I believe i need to rebuild my head and put new valve seals and etc.

    thank

    This also happens to Konigstiger.

    I pulled out the plugs , the number 3 is much more brown than 1 , 2 & 4.

We're still in a process of diagnosing it. We did a compression test , all 4 cylinders are 170 psi.

We would check for Distributor cap and rotor. Plus , check your spark plug wires for any wear.

If you are burning oil , you should atleast smell or have bluish smoke on the back.

Also pressure check your cooling system. Possibility that very small portions of coolant can be dripping into the chamber.

Problem with doing Compression test is .....One of the plug seize so bad...This happen after i try to troubleshoot this problem...I turn it and it start to feel something twisted not the same feeling like other 3 plugs so i just left it alone. I was afraid it might break and I'm screw.

One of spark plug is just keep on turning and doesn't tight. Grrr this happen when I let someone fix my car and they don't put ANTI-SEIZE on the thread!!!

I will check distributor cap and rotor. Wire is somewhat new (1 year old)

I have 2 months left to fix my car and pass inspection

If one of the plugs is stripped and wont tighten or come out then I would think that is where the problem is. Probably loosing compression or the plug is bad. Maybe after the engine heats up a bit it seals but I would get those plugs out asap and put some new ones in. Plugs have an expansion joint. If you felt something starange then you could have twisted the plug just enough to break it on the inside. good luck

          The rotor was my culprit.
