ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    help! very bad vibration

like the title says i have a bad vibration in my front end when accelerating. it goes away about 55-60 mph. i had a bad belt in one of my tires so i put a full size spare on it calmed it down a little bit. last year i had my tranny out for a new clutch and flywheel and the driver side inner cv part where it connects to the other half shaft popped out and i dident know at the time. so i put it back together and drove it and then it violently vibrated . ne ways one of the little ball bearing things had popped off so i put it back on . put fresh cv grease in and now 1 yr later its vibratuing liek it was do u think i need a new Axel ???

p.s sry for the long thred i dident know how to describe my problem

    Could just be your tires..
But I would check out the CV joint that messed up last year and see if you can tell if that what it is.
A new axle at this point would be kind of crazy try and figure out what it is and then if needed replace it.
But it could be it got fucked up and wourped or some thing but it would have showed up sooner than a year.
Could be when the belt broke it messed the CV joint up like it was.
The CV joint would be the first thing I would check then look into new front tires or X rotate the ones you have and see if that fixes it if not replace the axle.
That all I can think of but hopefully someone else can give you more info on why it is vibrating so bad...

Is just the steering wheel vibrating or is it the entire car ?

It sounds like you know what to look for. Get under it, put it in neutral, and turn the wheels to see what grinds.

A tire problem wouldn't go away at high speed.

tires was part of the problem i went to balance one of my wheel and noticed a flat spot n my tire so i put a spare on and that fixed the vibration on the passenger side . i also looked at my ball joints wheel barrings and bushings every thing was tight noticed my sawy bar links getting a lil wore but that aint gonna do it what im talking about . rmy struts are fine no excessive bounce or broken springs so now ima try a new axel and hope it works because my whole car and dash vibrates

When u balance u're tires did u notice if the wheel were bent?If u haven't tried it yet rotate the front tires with the rears and c if it goes away before u spend money on a axle.
