ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    A/C questions

sup guys new to the site and have a few questions bout our cars
i have a 93 dx with a jdm h22, so of course no A/C i was wondering if its possible to somehow put in a/c. i was wondering if anyone has did this or attempted. i know i can use the cb compressor but is it a lot harder than i think its going to be?
    thanks any help is appreciated

    lovin every minute of it

    Not Hard, but tedious!

I have never added A/C to a car that did not have it.

I do know you the longest part will be removing and re-installing the dash. Getting the parts should be easy, they can be sourced from an Accord with A/C.

The salvage yard will be your best bet.

        Planning

You need to be more patient.

        The diagrams are here, link.

You need to slow it down. Before you spend a single dime, figure out exactly what you will need, what you will do, and in what order you will do it in. There is no reason to rush it. You will either frustrate yourself, spend too much money, or make it really hard to do.

Work up a budget and timeline. This way you know how much it will run you before you spend all your dough. You don't want to be half-way through and be out of money, putting something like this on hold can be frustrating. You still will not have A/C but will have to look at a pile of parts. The timeline is good to plan out how long you will have to spend on this. Don't plan on doing it all in one day, you could end up rushing, which will lead to either broken parts (more money, more time) or mistakes that will keep the system from working.

He has a DX, it will take more than piping and a compressor.

Some DXs had A/C. It was a dealer installed option. If his had it and it was removed for the H swap, then he's better off... Otherwise, starting from scratch can be expensive!
