ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    f20a

whats up i just got my 92 accord ex 5 speed but i was just wondering something on my engine it has f20a stamped on it could i be lucky and got a jdm engine or is it just a f22

    Where is it stamped f20a?

90-93 accords only came with f22a's, from what i know.

    Can you take a picture?

If it has "F20A" stamped on it, it's an F20A. Are you located in the US? If so, a previous owner swapped it in.

I have learned from previous experience not to trust a 'stamp'.

A picture of the block will settle this.

If it says f20a only, it's jdm. I have the same engine. From what I've learned, it's jdm if it doesn't have a number after the "a".

                If it's just F20A it's DOHC. If it's F20A_ (number after the "a") it's SOHC.

F20A comes in SOHC and DOHC varieties. The SOHC is basically a 2.0L F22A.

It's JDM. It has less displacement... which means less torque and a higher powerband than the F22A engines that we have in our cars. It's not necessarily better. The DOHC one is nice, though.

F18A engines also exist in CBs in other countries.

                              .
I was wondering about something the other day, havent seen it done yet, but considering the smaller displacement and the abilty to swap a vtec head on this block and run a IAB setup. Think about this, the SOHC F20a makes 150hp. What do you think this combo would make Deev?

                              F20a SOHC block
                              F23b vtec head
H23 Intake manifold modified to clear vtec valve
                              94-95 Obd1 P72 ECU

Reason being is the B20vtecs put out great power but they lack what? Torque, yes they have more torque than a B16 but still not like a F series puts out.

                              Consider the setup to

                              F20A longblock
                              F22a6 camshaft
                              H23 Intake manifold
Chipped p06 with P72 basemap w/vtec/knock turned off

Im planning to get another accord soon and have been brainstorming alot lately.
