ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    How much boost

Just wondering how much boost a stock f22a4 with a6 manifold can run without major concern if the motor is in good shape?(auto trans.)

Also would like to know any parts people have fabricated(or does someone make the pieces) to put a turbo on a 93 accord?

    Thanks in advance.

It's difficult to tune the ECU for an automatic. That's the main reason you don't see many boosted autos on here.

The F22A can hold roughly 10psi if it's in decent shape. People have pushed it to 14 with no problem, and I've seen some reach 20... but that's REALLY asking for trouble. The rule of thumb is 6-10psi and you're relatively safe.

Keep in mind, you're going to want a GOOD tune (done by a pro, because you clearly don't have the knowledge to do it yourself yet!) and a properly sized turbo. Don't get a cheap small turbo, as they produce more heat than a properly sized one... and heat will destroy your engine real quick.

Check the Forced Induction subforum of the Performance section. You'll find info on all the parts you need in there. If you need someone to spoon-feed you every little part that you need, then this is NOT the project for you!

Actually I do have knowledge I do the speed density tuning on my camaro using EFI Live, Im just new to the accord market and was wondering about things like the ECU and cutting and fabing of things or parts people have used to put a kit on the accord but I promise no spoon feeding here.

      Thanks for the info.

It's a reasonable assumption that someone who asks for an exhaustive list of necessary parts wouldn't be familiar with ECU tuning!

If you want to go cheap, look into using a DSM exhaust manifold. They're easy to come by, and are much less expensive than a true tubular manifold.

how much boost depends on what type of turbo you use and how efficient your setup is. 10psi on one turbo vs 10psi on another turbo could be a 200horsepower difference on the accord.

parts: exhaust manifold, turbo, downpipe, wastegate, blow off valve, intercooler and piping, oil/water lines for turbo cooling, fuel injectors, engine management.

Thanks for the info....I have a turbo car but I was just wondering about any special pieces people might have made....all of the items mentioned above is understood.

haha, the EXACT boat im in. So far all i have really learned is the ecu tuning on an auto is much more complicated. ill be keeping up on your build to learn more for when i start mine.

Soon to have the first *Bottle Fed Accord* in MI!

Everything has to be custom besides the manifold. You can use F22 or H23 aftermarket turbo manifolds. You can also use stock or aftermarket DSM manifold(1 and 2 gen Eclipse/Talon)
