ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

It's in the distributor, either rebuild or replace the distrbutor first. If it comes back on check for resistance at the ecm between b13 and b14, should be between 260-500ohms. If no resistance, Repair open in ORN/BLU and/or WHT/
BLU wires. If yes, Check for continuity to body ground on B13 terminal.
If continuity exist,Repair short in ORN/BLU wire between ECU(B13) and distributor connector. If no,Substitute a known-good ECU and recheck. If symptom/indication goes away, replace the original ECU.

I just bought this car. The distributor cap and plug wires where just replaced. I wonder if they could have left something unplugged or screwed something up?

I will look for a new dizzy I guess.

And my cruise control inst working. Probably related?

Yeah, not in the cap or coil, more as a distributor fault. I would look into a rebuilt one.

            life is good.

Well I replaced the distributor and fixed that problem. Thanks!

Now on to this cruse control issue.

My cruise control switch to the left of the steering column lights up but the cruise control does not engage from the wheel switches. My odometer is also not working but my speedometer and the rest of my lights work fine. Where to begin?

For the cruise controll it might be the brain that controlls it , under the driveride dash firdt thing you see when you look. As for your odometer not working IDK what could cause that.

I know someone else will chime in

But if the VSS was bad wouldn't the speedometer not work as well?

not if there is an open circuit in the cluster or between the ecu and the cluster. The signal comes in the cabin and then splits

No clutch (auto) but the brake switch seems to depress all the way. If the brake switch wasn't compressing all the way would that cause the odometer to not spin?
