ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    KillSwitch Help???

I'm wanting to use my hazard switch as a killswitch but I cannot find any diagrams for the relay or for the car as far as fuel, ign or main ecu. What would be the easiest but most effective way of doing this once I have diagrams. Killing the fuel pump, ignition or the ECU? I just want it to where when you get in the car, you have to press the hazard switch in to start the car. Any help or suggestions or links to diagrams. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

IMO I think it would be better if you get an extra switch and place it next to the rear desfroster switch you know the empty slot and use it as your kill switch.

I want to use the killswitch because 1.My cruise dosen't work and 2. I wouldn't use it if it did. But regardless I didn't ask about whether or not I should use the switch or not I asked about diagrams. I'm not some noob thats about to fuck his car up. Ive been working on Hondas for 10 years but I cant find any fuckin wiring diagrams online. I dont reallly want to buy a helms cause I know that somewhere on the net they exist. Any help?

I would kill the fuel pump and/or the ecu if you can isolate them, as I'm pretty sure the hazard switch is not spec'd to handle the amperage of the ignition circuit, so running the ignition thru it seems sketchy.

The $20 haynes manual has electrical diagrams in ch. 12--chassis electrical. I don't have a scanner....also I am clueless about reading elec. diagrams so would have a hard time figuring out which have the info you need. It does seem to have diagrams for the fuel pump. It doesn't list the ECU in the table of contents for the diagrams but it might be in there, again, electrical diagrams are not my forte.

Hondahookup.com has *a lot* of manuals on the site. The diagrams could be in there.

If you can find the power wire to the fuel pump you can run it through the hazard switch. Since it's an on/off toggle, you'd have to wire it to the proper terminal to find which one opens and closes the circuit. I think that would be rather simple with a multimeter.

From what little I've researched, the power wire is the yellow wire coming from the fuel pump 'harness' which you can find under the dash at the fuel pump relay. Hard to get at from what I've read.

Bah. Edited a few times. Here's a diagram of the main relay.

What about the amperage issue? Would wiring it thru the hazard switch be a problem? I'm curious. (I'm not the OP).

Yeah it could be a concern. I managed to melt a few radio shack switches in my travels. Hehe.
