ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    spectre small cone filter

i just bought a spectre small cone and it is awsome. It gives it a deep sound jus like the hks small cone and better fuel economy, and it is on the stock intake tube. I would recommend this filter for any car

Did you get the Short "(3inch) or Long Filter (6inch), Wondering if the long one would fit. on stock tube.

did you have to put a pipe to connect the filter on the stock hose or did it just fit right on there?

why cheap it out, just buy an ebay pipe, so cheap and lasts.... Silly kids. IMO all filters do the samejob.

So do the size of the filter make a different.
And i am only talking about filters.

well if you think about it the 6 inches i long and the 3 is really short so it would be like if you had no filter which means way quick air response on the low ends... go buy one and you will notice the difference i know cuz i have a cheapy air fitler from ebay and a 6 inch spectre air filter. Jus like i said before it has almost the same reponse as the hks super funnel and way more louder

i don't think the filter size would make much of a difference...

i have the 6 inch stainless mesh (not paper filter) and ppl are like WTF all the time and its snappy and is the best sounding intake i've heard on a stock car but i have it on a short ram intake so it is loud as shit i love it

I installed the Spectre 3" cone filter (autozone) today, and that thing is LOUD! I found myself unnecessarily downshifting and rolling the windows down just to hear that glorious intake sound. Thanks for the recommendation!
