Change Brakes or Motor Mount first...

I know that both of these are at the same urgency but I'm low on cash at the moment.

My car shakes when I brake from high speeds, like 60 or 70. I researched this symptom and the signs point to brakes. Most likely warped rotors.

I just had my driver side cv replaced two months ago. They suggested that I have a motor mount replaced for the shaking while I'm idle.

I definitely will get both of these things fixed in the future, but I need to know if I am correct in assuming I need these brakes checked out first.

Also I was idle for a minute after coming off of the interstate and it sounded like my engine was "out of breath" if that makes any sense. It sounded as if the engine was about to give up...

I'm excited about restoring my 92 Accord LX! I want to make sure that under the hood is taken care of before I get some body work.

Replace your brakes. I remember when I was strapped for cash and had iffy brakes, not fun at all.

I would definitely fix the brakes before the motor mounts. Safety should always be first.

check ur rotors ....take them to autozone or checker and have them check them out ...more n likey there worped

My car had 3 bad mounts...even if your mounts all go out your engine won't leave the bay...if your brakes go out...you hit a tree/car/person/curb/starbu...I mean Seattle's best

Brakes! I don't think Autozone turns or inspects rotors anymore.

i would do the brakes if its the rotors they are cheap if you just need them turned

Motor mount is not even on the same level of urgency with brakes.
Brakes first always.

if all four mounts go I'm sure you'll fuck something up but..the engine won't drop...just flop around

brake for sure, you can handle a little shaking for a while but brakes = safety.
