ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Dash Clock Removal.

Hey guys and girls, I have searched the forum to no avail. My question is, how do you remove the clock off of the dash? I am asking cause I have a 92 cb parts car and it has a minty clock and I would like to do a swaparoo.

But i am hoping you dont have to remove the entire dash.

I'd have to disagree here. Use a flat object to pry the clock out from the LEFT - butter knives works wonders for clock removal!

Slowly pry one knife behind the housing on the left side. Once you've gotten ahold of it, stick another either through the gap you've cleared on the bottom or right side - to pry the clock out evenly and prevent unnecessary damage. Work your way back and forth, until you're able to clear that metal tab on the left. You don't want to pull it out from the right side, because you're going to get caught by the connector and wiring - which may get damaged if you pull too hard!
                      My pictures/photos will return soon...

don't be afraid of breaking the clock. I pulled a junkyard clock with a flathead screwdriver just a few days ago; just put a piece of thin cloth around the screwdriver so you don't scratch any part of the clock. Like some of these guys have said, try the left side of the clock and slowly pry it. The clock should come out fairly easily. When it does come out, watch out for the connector, i.e. don't pull the clock out to fast. The connector comes off the same way you unplug a phone cable.

don't worry about breaking it? That's horrible advice.

I broke the shit out of my old one and I was trying to be careful...I didn't care as it was already not working...but if it was still good and I had wanted to keep/sale it, would have been much harder to pull it out. I didn't care so I just scrapped it.

joshy has the right method, thanks man

wow...that "pic" sure does tell me how to get the clock out... "pry out the clock" what more can it say?
