ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Foggy A** Windows?

Okay...I'm not sure if this the right section to be posting this in, so move this please if it is, but my question is that I own a 93 cb7 coupe, and I know this is common, but I do believe my damn windows fog up too damn much, and I can't stand it, I can blast my window defroster and it barely helps...I don't know....anything I can do? Probably not...but I would love to know.

Sounds like you have leak that lets moisture in the car.

Not sure, I wouldn't doubt it though...but it's mainly just my two back side windows, and the main rear window...looks like I just had rough sex back there.

You can run a/c with the heat on.

                  De-foster on with A/C

cold air will make the foggy windows clear up faster.

or go out and buy RainX Anti Fog. They work great but make sure you put it on evenly. If not the spot you missed will fog up and the rest will not

aight, I'll try that in the morning, and I have/used that RainX stuff for my front windows, shit works great. I'll spray some on the back and see how that goes.

Run the AC with the heat on. It'll clear up the fog, and you won't freeze.
Hondas fog. Old Hondas fog more.

Window visors, so you can crack your windows.

But, i found that putting the deforst or air on WARM, right in the middle, works best.

Fogged windows are caused by high humidity air coming into contact with colder windows, cold enough to cause the moisture in the air to come out of the air and condense onto the glass (the lower the air temperature, the less H2O it will hold, so if you run moisture-saturated air by a cold windowpane, the air in close contact with the windowpane will cause moisture to condense out of the air by dropping the air temperature, leaving the moisture no place to go but onto the window surface)

Solve this with a combination of methods: 1) reduce moisture level in the air by turning on the AC. (as air moves past the cold AC coils, any moisture in the air condenses onto them, leaving quite dry and cold air to send back to the cabin).

                              2) keep the moisture holding capacity of the cabin air up (and keep from freezing yourself) by turning the heat on simultaneously. (in other words, just slide the temperature slider up to the warm range while the AC button is on).

2.3 )heat up the windshield surface so it's less likely to cause moisture to condense onto itself. See step 2.

2.5) set the vent setting to blow full strength on the windshield. This will help pull any fogginess off the windshield once the air humidity drops and/or the air temperature increases and will also help heat up that windshield faster as you blow more hot air molecules past it in a given time.

                              3) either use the cabin air recirculation setting or not, depending. If it's rainy humid weather I would consider having the cabin air recirculate if you have AC and can use the previous steps. That's because the AC will pull the moisture out of the cabin air and it will be less likely to fog up the windows than the humid outside air (air is always humid when it's raining). However Usually steps 1 and 2 will suffice whether or not you recirculate the cabin air.

***If you are like me and don't have AC, then crank the heat and blow it at high speed at the windshield to heat the windshield up. Also make sure to set the cabin air recirculation to off in this case so fresh air is always coming in the front of the car and exiting the back, because otherwise your exhalations/breath will be constantly making the cabin air more humid over time.

then bend down really far and peer through the small clear area at the bottom of the windshield.

                              LOL

Seriously, AC is the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to defogging your windows, as long as you understand that you need to also set the heater temperature to warm or hot at the same time as the AC is running, and blow the air hard against the windshield.

                              Cheers.
