ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    5 speed swap

I have a few questions. I know I said I was going to stay auto but I couldn't do that for too long, especially since I'm going boost. I got a good ass deal on a f22a1 (he also has an f22b vtec motor just rebuilt) with under 100k on it and a full 5 speed swap out of a 92 lude with under 25k on it all for $400 measily dollars so before I buy it I want to get an idea of what I am getting myself into.

First off I have an idea of what I want to do. Get the f22a1, replace the timing belt, water pump, gaskets, etc. Put the cam outta my f22a6 in it, h23 intake manifold, chipped and tuned p06, and a mild drag turbo kit or something. I'll probably push 6-8 psi for daily driving. I'll also do the 5 speed swap and replace the clutch with something a little stronger.

My questions are, what exactly do I need to do a 5 speed swap?(I want to make sure I have everything.) And what sort of problems am I going to run into while doing this?(considering I've never done it before.)

I have a 1992 ex with an auto tranny.

lol, thanks scott but the deal fell through. no more 5 speed aspirations for me. but im going to put money away and if i dont find anything else before i get enough for the !JDM H22A W/ LSD AUTO TRANSMISSION SWAP! ill jump on it. as you can see im striving for vtec a little more than boost so maybe you will be the 1st boosted accord in michigan. lol. I really want to go NA VTEC and keep my auto just for reliability and drivability purposes. We've all seen how I drive. lmao.

Yea, I think that H22 swap with auto LSD tranny will be more straight-forward for you. It'll be a nice increase and you can always save up for more aggressive camshafts later too. That is all external bolt-ons, but you'll need a programmable engine management and tune then.

when i had my auto-to-manual swap. i had get a custom mount for my tranny. Also had to tap one of the holes for the tranny as well. its too bad your not doing it anymore. it made a world of a difference for me. i loved the 5 speed change over!!!
