ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Call blacktrax and ask for the bolt specifics (size, thread, length), and go knowing what you need. I also believe someone said the a/c compressor mounting bolts will work for this setup. You could unscrew one of those and walk in and match it. shouldnt take long. Maybe that is for a single plate. There are threads on here concerning this. I just dont have time for the search. I'll check it out later.

But you have time to be on this forum? That's an excuse and you're being lazy, does not take long at all. It's called planning and I work more than you do.

If you don't have time to get the hardware, how do you even have time to install the whole setup, let alone any other more significant mods.

              I like ^his style.

Like others have said, it doesn't take long. But since you work so much and don't have time to search the forum I'm going to give you the answer. You are going to need 8x1.25x100mm bolts.

              Hope this helps.

funniest thing...i like ^^his style...i can understand though the OP's aggravation with going to a hardware store. i used to work at ACE and little kids will put bolts and everything in places it shouldnt be. Most of the time though they keep it pretty clean so yeah im going with the "excuse" motion too.

I am hoping that is it man.
But lowes and auto stores do not carry it.
I am hitting up a nearby fastner store.
still need to verify these sizes, but will know shortly.

Metric stuff can be a pain to find. Home depot doesn't even have a lot but I know Ace does. the hardware company is called Hillman and they will have everything you need. Aldo check your local junkyards if you do ever find the time. That way you know what size it is you need

they are the same size bolts that hold the ac compressor to the bracket.

I was putting my double stack together today. I have a6 runners, and h23 plenum, 2 IAB's(one gutted). 8mm 125 x 100 mm bolts work on the 2 corners closest to the valve cover, but the other three bolt need to be shorter. Somewhere around 80 or 90 mm. I have to get 3 more bolts tomorrow. The 100mm sticks too far through the plenum and IAB's exposing all of the threads, and couple mm of the shank, and it bottoms out in the runners before you run out of threads. The only way I could use the 100mm is to have a big ugly stack of washers. I dont know about the a6 plenum but mine needs 2; 8mm 125x 100mm bolts, and 3; 8mm 125x90 mm.

                          Nice.

Time to hit up the junkyard and unbolt some AC compressors

I thought the bolts you needed were off of the ac compressor on a Prelude?

I took a couple of pics. One shows how much the 100mm long bolt sticks thru the h23 plenum, and 2 IAB's. The other shows how much thread is left when the bolt is screwed into the front center mounting hole in the a6 runners. Would need a stack of washers to run 100mm bolt in 3 of the plenum mounting holes with a double IAB stack. 100mm is perfect on the corners closest to the valve cover.

                              The last pic is me.
