My car has been running fine all summer but recently with the temp dropping its been acting up. When i first start my car it idles fine, while its still cold but once it warms up enough it starts idling funny with the rpm's jumping from 1,000 to 1,500 non stop. This seems backwards to me cause it dont do it till the car is warm, and only when its 50 or lower outside it seems. Is there a sensor that could be causseing this thats gone bad?

Ive had the same issue. it was my eacv (electronic air control valve). If u look at ur tb it will be right at the base of it with two 12 mm bolts in it. Also two coolant lines going into it. It has to do with your fuel management system. The code you would get from it would be 14 I think. Take it off and spray some cleaner into the screen. the exhaust goes through there and it gets real dirty! the price for one is about $150. So try cleaning it before u replace it. i was tryn to find the way to test it with a volt meter but cant find paper work, sorry. Ho.pe this helps.Last edited by kirk90; 10-28-2009, 06:38 PM.
