ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    power steering!!!!

does anyone make a power steering delete? My power steering is leaking and I just want to get rid of it. I was thinking of just taking to pump out but wouldn't that mess thing up? like dry rot seals and so forth?

The correct way to do it is get a manual rack from a car that doesnt have ps other wise u run the risk of ruining your current rack. Maybe you could remove the belt/pump/lines and then cap off the rack to have a "manual rack"

You may want to look into how these kits are made and come up with your own. I'm actually thinking about doing the same thing. There's tons of members on here without their ps though. Search around through the MR section and search for power steering removal diy or something. You should find something that'll help.

A few people I know have just looped the lines, and kept fluid in the reservoir. I currently have my belt cut, but the pump is still in place. I'll eventually be looping the lines as well.

I think I am just going to cap off the lines. what is the whole reason for people capping off the lines then leaving the reservoir on?if you take the reservoir off there should still be fluid in there.... right?

You want there to be enough fluid to lubricate the rack.

My last rack was acting messed up and i cut the belt.I switched it out for a 92 ex rack and never got a belt, so i just hooked it up and run it with fluid. Its been 7000 miles and ive had no problem. I actually cant wait to get a new belt and have P/S again. But you should have np as long as there some kind of fluid in there.
