Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

if i were trying to do that, i think i would just buy power window and door lock kits from autoloc.com. i'd imagine that would be the easiest way. later.

I really dont care if its power or manual... but i can get power doors at the local PAP for 30 each they have no manual DX Doors... Im not doing it for power as much just for the ease of getting doors cause mine are beat up...

also will i need an EX/LX alternator?

Could always check out the cars at the PAP, and see how difficult it would be to snag the setup.
AutoLoc.com is not to budget friendly. IMO.

And now that i think about it, you just need the doors right, so you can take the panels, and the window crap off your DX and swap. And not to mention that you havent checked for your DX doors yet. lol

that would be a pretty awesome diy.

i have seen threads like this before, but they just wanted the power options, not because they couldn't find dx doors. as far i as know no one has done it.

you can't get lx/ex doors and swap all the dx parts over? later.

              No DIY needed

It is pretty straight forward, no I have not done it myself. But given what is involved, I can see why there is no DIY, it is ubber easy.

Swap the following from a car with power windows:

              1. Door cards

              2. Window regulators

              3. Door wiring harness and chassis connection pigtail

              4. Under-Hood Fuse/Relay harness pigtail (only if you are un-comfortable repinning connections)

              5. Power Window Relay

You will need to run wires from the chassis connection pigtail to the Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box pigtail. It goes without saying that you will need to refer to the manual, here, c.f. page 16-234. Don't be intimidated, it is just a bunch of wires, switches, and fuses.

That part doesn't intimidate me i was more concerned about the driver door controlling the passenger window/lock and the passenger door controlling both locks... do i need to connect the two or does them both being connected to that under hood relay do that...?

This is the easiest way to go. No wiring to worry about, and the LX/EX doors have all the openings and supports you need for window cranks.

Swap the regulators, panels, and cranks. Call it a day.

Well I'm thinking i get payed Friday if i have 50 or 60 bucks extra i may go get the doors... Then I have winter break so i Outta be able to get it done.... Hmmm... I like the idea... but I see so many things going wrong... well worst case scenario I cant roll down the windows and i lock the doors manual... oh wait I already do that haha...

connecting the doors to each other is my only worry... but ill have to find a diagram... and snatch me some pigtails from the JY

I done conversions like this in other hondas but instead of using oem setups where i have to get the whole wiring, i just install 2 aftermarket door actuators, and 2 aftermarket window motors with the crank.

i then get the door pannels from a powered honda (of that model of course) and wire them into the switch. that way its oem but with aftermarket parts. Take me about 9 hours taking my time.

Usually i install an alarm at the same time but its not necessary.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I had this done in my 92 Civic DX and put the LX doors. but they swaped the whole wire hardness to do this. Another way to control your windows from the driver side is to run your own wires from each door to the driver side (2 wires for each door)

In reference to Power Door Locks, see page 16-229. Everything is connected to the Control Unit that is mounted inside the Driver's Side Door. It is the Control Unit that runs the show, you're just flippin' switches.
