ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    90 accord Rough Acceleration help

My car is an auto at 200k,rough accel from start to about 25mph,then gets into gear and runs smoothly till I come to stop this repeats itself over and over, talked to mechanic he said ,I don't have 1st gear.I need a second opinion please?Could it be motor mounts?Do I rebuild or replace tranny if so,what should be a good estimate?bought last yr,has timing belt done but aome other minor issues in waiting.

Have you tried to check your ignition timing, timing belt alinment, rear balancer shaft alinment, clutch system flush/leaks, release fork play, etc ?

Most likely the auto tranny is going out and its slipping in 1st gear.

is your d4 or 2 light flashing. if so could a couple of problems. trans control unit for shifting problem & rough accel could be wires or egr ports clogged.

mine used to do the same, after a full tune up, and transmission oil change, everything ran smooth

maybe it just needs a tranny oil change.

Thanks a lot,I will do a tranny oil flush on monday,I love my cb,but I have been steadily fixing stuff on it,timing belt and intake manifold have been changed early this yr,also had cat converter changed granted now she is at 200k,not to help things my new JVC head unit was stolen last week, just replaced the power steering pump, belts and fluids. If I could find a decent tech around where I live I would probably keep her.she has been solid reliable for the past four yrs.
If it doesn't turn out to be tranny fluid,I wonder if I should rebuild or swap?
