ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i have tryed it to get the launch correct where i race (1/8 mile drag) and i have mine all the way forward clockwise just to get the power band where i needed it. i have been testing this for a while and had no problems what so ever going either way it just moves your power band ..i tune on 110 octane wich is to much for my car but it runs so much better and cooler with it and not to give any one bad advise but if its just a toy to play with like my car (NOT a daily driver) it is so worth trying. i have cut my launch and times in half doing this plus a c/a/i and the open exhaust so worth doing but that is just me and i got my CB7 for free so every thing i do is an experiment with it..

That is true... if you're willing to blow it up, then experiment all you want. Don't experiment with the suspension or brakes, as that can be dangerous... but a blown motor is just an inconvenience. If it's a toy, and you can afford to replace the motor... then anything is worth trying.

Hell, I bought a beater DX that ran strong, but had messed up body panels due to rust and a sideswipe. Still straight, but not pretty. I had indended to boost it and blow the motor running a tiny T25 snail... I cheaped out on the tires, though... only replaced the fronts. Lost traction in the rear during an ice storm, and spun into a wall. Drove it home, parted it out, and junked the chassis.

do you know how many degrees camshaft rotation that would be on an adjustable cam gear? i'd like to try this out sometime. do u always have it set to that when you drive, or just on race day?

Camshaft adjustments should be made on a dyno.

Bisimoto's cam gears have 6 degree adjustments.

mine is set there all the time .. as i only drive the car to the track , race and then take it home so that is about all i use it for. On an adjustable cam gear i have no idea what the difference is. BUT giving fair warning this is not somthing i would be doing with a street car cause theres lots that could go wrong and as
deevergote stated (Camshaft adjustments should be made on a dyno.) i fully back what he says. i play with mine full well knowing that if i skrew up my cars dead for a while .. i got it for free so ohh well .. the risk is yours.
