ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

sorry guys, I needed to explan more,
ok so after driving for 15 mins the temp gague would go up, the is over heating, n the top hose is hot n the bottom hose is closed,
3he fan is off when the car is on, when I turned it off the fans would come back on..
I'm thinkin it could be the theromstate sensors?

you could try the thermostat first n see if it will resolve your problem. Looks like the thermostat is not opening up, to allow coolant flow.

thats wierd though because the fan switch is located near the top hose so the fan should come on regardless of thermostat.

i would try getting a new thermostat [becouse it`s winter you need it ] ..one other idea i wonder if the radiator is plugged ..and not letting water go through it ..it`s odd i would guess that the water would just come out of it hot ..i wish i knew more i only have had my cb for 30 day`s now .. good luck tell us how it works out...also i think the fans come on after you turn if off is because the heat from the motor turns on the switch and your motor is very hot because the water is not flowing through it ... do you have heat in side the cb?

Id do one thing at a time and start with the thermostat. You have to remember as old as that piece is, its not hard to understand it being worn out. If that doesnt fix, keep us updated.

He said he already changed the thermostat, flushed the radiator, and checked all his wires in his first post.

Are you leaking coolant anywhere? Do you have enough coolant? Did you use coolant? (I know people who run straight water ) When was the last time your water pump was changed? What thermostat did you replace it with? New? Used? Is it OEM?

I was confused when I read that, my apologies.

I would say that if you do have coolant, I would assume it to be your waterpump.

Wasn't pointed at you, all good. Everyone just saw it as a "thermostat issue" instead of it maybe being another issue.
