ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I don't understand why everything went to shit just from taking my cap off originally so I could get to my thermostat. It always started and ran fine, other than the occasional hesitations. Now it just doesn't start at all. It it does start, it will idle smoothly, but die as soon as I touch the gas.

i just recently bought my cb, and it was doing the same thing... the Previous owner had replaced the distributor assembly about a year ago... i went ahead and got another one under warranty, and i havent had a problem since... been about 750 miles so far... if i were you, i'd get the whole distributor, the ignitors like to be finicky on these engines, and w/ a new dizzy, you'll get that and a coil and the cam/crank sensors too. you're tach issue will be distributor related as well...

Okay. Today I installed a new coil and new plug wires, along with a new cap and rotor. Car cranks and cranks and cranks. Started once and idled until I touched the gas and it died.
I have no clue what ground you're talking about on the tstat housing cuz I don't see any wires or anything that could be a ground other than the green plug that plugs into the side of it.
When you turn the key on, are you supposed to hear the fuel pump kick on? Mine doesn't make any noise. That is my next plan of attack. Next question, is a fuel pump from a 93 EXR compatible with a 91 SE? I can get one for free tomorrow if this is the case.
And if I need an ignitor, it's $154 from the Honda dealer and it won't be in til Wednesday if I order it.
