ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    will my car fail inspection

My inspection is due. However, based on my research I need oxygen sensor. It stutter and boggs. But when I disconnect the o2 sensor it does not. Will I fail inspection? I don't want to pay the 37 bucks and having to change the o2 sensor after.

I know here where I live it depends on where and who I go to. I can go and just get a sticker for having my lights work. Easy as pie. But normally, the regular mechanic I have down the road will not let a car pass if the CEL is on. That means if the CEL is on for lack-of-o2 sensor, even if obd1, he'll still fail it. My personal advice? replace it, and then bring your rig in.

    life is good.

i think it will...idk the rules or specs where you are at but in Wisconsin we don't even take obd1 cars to inspections anymore...lucky me..lolz...but when we did that would fail you...

What state are you from? most DMV or motor vehicle depts. of commonwealths have diagnostic specific lists that are based around what their requirements are, VT has one anyway. I'd also just call a shop first, ask them what to do.

          life is good.

You should replace it anyways if it needs to be done, O2 sensor is kinda important.

hmm. If I were you, I'd check around, see what the garages say. And would probably still go ahead and replace it.

If your talking about your cb7, In New York your car requires dyno testing. Their gonna test your emissions from your tail pipe at open throttle, without the O2 sensor your gonna fail. Replace it and get it over with.

I know without the o2 sensor ill fail. Hopefully once I replace it it passes and not that I need a cat converter. Or something emission related
