ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I Cant Go Over 112mph After Swapped Any Help??

    #2
your ECU has a speed limiter.
Your question just brings up more questions, like what did you swap?

And speed limiters are there for a reason, unless your on a track hitting those speeds.

If your suspension, brakes, and tires aren't up to going those speeds, then it's extremely stupid to do so. Especially on public roads, seeing as the maximum speed limit in the US is 75mph (and in most states, 55 or 65). If you can't go 100mph on a track, you should never be going that fast.

IM TRYING TO TUNE MY DAILER DRIVER AND I HAVE DONE 145 IN THIS SAME CAR (not on public roads) before i blew up the differential, 1st before/ @ the track

        back at the garage
see i did this @ greatlakes Dragaway 4/6/08

i swapped to a replacement trans from Jantz auto salvage in kenosha,wi. i think they said it was a f20b trans, but i dont know anything about transmissions, or the enternals??? plus the dealer said " we no longer are avalible to get those parts,.... sorry"

        i have swapped the stock jdm/ecu out with the usdm/ecu and nothing changes, i swapped back to the stock, air intake and filter, plus i have a aftermarket header, obx cat, stock mandrel bent tubing, with a 94 ex muffler with dual outlet. also i swapped from a 1st f22a1-2nd f22a4,with the junkyard trans-3rd/ current f22a1 with f20b trans?? and a usdm/ecu out of a {90-(91 usdm cb7 the car on the left)}

Wow, someone that actually DOES do it at the track! Usually it's just some ignorant kid that wants to drive 150mph on a public road in a 20 year old car.

The PT6 from the 92-93 EX model does not have a limiter. You can also remove it with a tuned ECU.

If you're only racing on a quarter mile drag strip, and you're not seriously modified... you shouldn't be coming anywhere near 100mph, let alone needing to break 112.

Lol JK, my suspension and wheels can handle 150, not that it makes things any better.

I just replaced my struts and springs with sensatrac quick struts, and got new tires yesterday, but i need to get a valve adjustment done, and 9293 ex no limiter, got youi ran 15.8xx in my cb7 with only tru cold air intake piping, aftermarket (ebay) header autozone muffler, but again this was with a f22a6, and a h22 trans, stage 1 clutch, and a lot of luck that day

You should be able to do better than that. My friend managed a 15.9 with an F22A1 and F22A transmission. AEM SRI, ebay header, 2.25" crush bent exhaust... and a bit of weight reduction.

Still, you have NO need for no limiter with a time like that. You're not going to be anywhere near 100mph in the quarter mile anytime soon. To make a pass like that, you should be trapping in the low 80s.

Also, Monroe struts are absolute trash... their "technology" is an intentional internal leak. They come half blown, basically. Trash.

Your going to have ALOT of problems getting a Subaru suspension to fit on an Accord. Neither of the two have anything in common with the other. You would have to spend a ridiculous amount of money to get that to work when you could just go buy some Type-2's and call it a day, not to mention the Type-2's for the Accord come with better spring rates then most Subie suspensions do.

P.S. You don't have to pay big bucks for a name that puts out an inferior product, just do some research and figure out what works best for your application, just remember, Subaru suspension is not it!
