ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Might check your fuses. If that's not it then clear trash bags work for a little while. Sorry about the cold though...

Check to make sure everything is connected; If you've been messin around in the engine bay or with wiring of course.

Trash bags is an alternative but thats...well trashy
Pop the door skin off and you advance the window up manually. It may fall back down so u need to wedge a small piece of material in between the window and the rubber on the bottom. it can be anything really. some cardboard, rubber squeegies from those black magic window tint kits work awesome. I had this happen to a friends car in the winter as well in NYC. just make sure whatever u wedge in is on the inside of the car.

he thinks your not getting enough power thats why he said that.

One way to bring it up is to remove the motor and bring it back up then put back the motor to hold it up. test it before you put it back on to see if it works with out the track on. if it does then check the tracks and make sure they are lube with something like armer all (works great) and check to see if the rubber is off place. this happen to my white cb. the rubber was off track and did not let the window go up or down. motor was good but tracks were bad

It will roll up and down slightly, but you will hear a crinkling sound from inside the door. If all you hear is a clicking noise, NOT THE ONE COMING FROM THE BUTTON, then its your motor! IF you for sure, without a doubt, do not hear anything at all, coming from the motor, it could be the switch, or relay. PROCESS OF ELIMINATION!

(Basically, figure out what its doing.)

You could get a new/used window motor and or regulator. Or........

Just pull the door panel. Unbolt the window from the regulator, push the window up all the way. Take a tape measure, and measure the distance between the bottom of the glass and the bottom ot the door. Cut a 2x4 that same lenth, maybe 1/16th longer. Wedge the 2x4 in between the glass and the bottom of the door. This will last for years. And not mess up any of the felt and rubber, its there for a reason

AND, DONT USE ARMOR ALL! Use white lithium grease. you can buy it at any auto parts store.
yea im not getting sound at all but mayb it is the rubber thats blocking it and not letting it go up or down i forgot which bolt is for the regulator i dont wanna unbolt the wrong thing n the whole window drops

not trying to steal the thread but what would be the clicking sound? my window slowly goes down some times then just stops, what would that be?
