ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    trunk will not close

Have u tried to fool around with the trunk latch inside the car? If you've replaced the latch then I would make sure the lock is not sticking. Maybe stick the key in there and turn it around a bit. I would maybe remove the lock and spray a little lube in there all around the moving parts and what not. I would also try disconnecting the trunk latch and see what happens with that. IDK, I'm thinking it has to do with the lock itself.

Just remove the cable off of the latch. The cable is only for the lever in the car so it isn't necessary. See if that does anything.

If he does this, he will need to find a way to open it. Maybe just keep that cable in sight so you can pull it whenever you want to open it.

this happened on my last Cb. I took a hammer and banged on the 'U' shaped latch on the car itself, on the bottom, not the trunk lid. Mine came loose and slid down about 1/4" and wouldnt let the trunk latch catch. Try tapping it up a and see if that works.

Are you sure theres nothing blocking it? One time my brother left his trunk a crack open. Water got in and formed ice on the top of the tail lights area where the trunk bumpers rset. It took us quite awhile to realise thats what happend.

You said it's a new lock? When you installed it, maybe it's not perfectly lined up?

I had a similar issue, but I was able to fix it by turning the key back and forth (it somehow got to the locked position while the trunk was open).
