ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Loud Sri...

Yes, short ram intakes. Does anybody know of one that is loud, like really loud. Something that makes that loud SWOOSH sound every time you tap the throttle.

I am in the market for a little upgrade from my old SRI, and I want something that is LOUD and sounds good. So whatever you may know of, post up. Even if it's just an ebay pipe with a specific filter you chose, post up.

Yes, I know. This is kind of a noobly question, but I'm going for that loud bad ass intake sound, or something close to it that I can get out of my Accord.

Kevin, the Weapon-R setup is loud.

Any SRI with an enlarged chamber near the filter will be as well. It doesn't necessarily have to do with filter design, either.

      life is good.

I didnt know certain SRI's are louder than others. If you want a louder intake get VTEC.

My buddy's CG coupe(f23 sohc vtec) had a SRI only and you could hear him coming from down the road. Stock muffler and everything. It was all the intake.

My friend with a 96 civic ex coupe has a stock air box with 1" holes drilled in the bottom side of the box with an aftermarket metal intake tube and it sounds great and flows really well.

So does anybody know how the password jdm carbon fiber intake sounds? Im just curious. Also, do you think a weapon r intake tube ith a k&n filter would sound and function well?

it's probably going to be loudest if you just put a cone filter right on the end of the throttle body, no intake tube. =)

the universal Spectre 3'' filters are LOUD, but then again, my experience is limited to hearing a few AEM SRIs and one Injen.
The Injen intakes seem to produce the highest quality sound; I'd youtube a few videos. I remember a TSX and a 99 Si both being dynoed with Injen intakes, and the intake snarls were simply orgasmic. If you're going for just the sake of being loud, I enjoy my Spectre 3'' with every blip of the throttle, every heel-and-toe shift, every tunnel.
