ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    H23 plenum spacer

    OK guys here is the run down, I have a '91 LX with a F22A1 engine. I have only had this car running for about 2 weeks and have done these modification so far;

    1. Complete H23 intake manifold
    2. F22A6 cam
    3. PT6 ECU
    4. Cold Air Intake
    5. EGR block off
    6. FITV delete

    It's not much but parts are on the way.

    I have been seeing all the posts about people putting the plenum spacer on their H23A1/F22A6 hybrid manifolds for longer runners thus for added torque, but what about the complete H23 intake manifolds? The H23 already have longer runners why not put the plenum spacer on the H23 manifold? (Some people say hood clearance issues but I can't find any.)

    Well that's what I am here to test. Just so you guys know I will not be able to take it to a dyno, I will just being doing it all on feel because the closest dyno is 3 hours away from where I live and don't really have the time, money, or that many modifications to be going and playing on the dyno, so my apologies in advance. Maybe someone else can post their dyno sheet.

    Pictures will be up shortly and will be hopefully getting it all done by tonight. As of right now I have let the JB weld dry over night on my OEM IAB plate with butterflies taken out of course and am sanding away. Update soon.

    I don't see the clearance issue.

    Sorry about the picture being too big

      Got the bolts they are 8x1.25x80mm and 8x1.25x100mm as posted in the DIY plenum spacer with the H23/A6 hybrid manifold.

      The spacer is done.

      Now I have read that people have put the spacer both above or below the secondaries, but which is better than the other? That's what I am going to find out, I am going to put it above and try it that way and then put it below and see if there is truly a difference between them and to see if there are any gain just from installing the blank plate.

            Alright, got my camera to work again. Sorry that the pictures don't look that great.

            Spacer Installed

            And still have plenty of room under the hood

            Just so you guys know, on the bolt sizes be sure to get of course the (2) 8x1.25x100mm and on the other bolts be sure to get (3) 8x1.25x90mm, I didn't like the 80mm they were to short for my taste, they barely reached.

            Anyways, with the spacer below the secondaries the car seems to pull a little more from the start and did not notice any change in the top end. I will keep this set up for a full day or two and then will switch the spacer and secondaries around and see if that makes a difference.

              Yep from South-Central. It's hard to find people here in my neck of the woods that like Accords or even working on cars for that matter.

                    That's sweet dude, I just couldn't find any other post with people putting the spacer on H23 intake manifolds so i figured I'd start one.

                    Not to question your build but aren't you worried about losing low end with both the secondaries deleted?? Just curiosity, I have heard that you lose low end. I haven't tried that yet but I have an extra blank plate that my buddy was going to use but I guess I can try it and see how it does, let me know how yours runs though, I am very interested keep me posted.

                      I am sorry and don't want to sound like a dick but, you are wrong sir. The F22A6 runners are shorter than the H23A1 runners and that is why some people switch to F22A6 runner to get better top end. If you feel that I am still wrong be my guest and research it or even get both of them and measure them. It has been discussed in many posts and many people have been told and even you have said;

                      So you already know the H23 intake manifold is bigger, why are you contradicting yourself???

                              Oh alright that's cool, let me know how it works for you. After this experiment I might try that too and see if it is better than having the IAB's at all.
