Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Auto and 5 spd harnesses the same?

    Auto and 5 spd harnesses the same?

    As the title says Im trying to figure out if the harnesses are the same. Started plugging in my f22 harness to h22 and wondering if the pins are different on auto harness. Since I am also doing auto to manual swap all I have is the auto harness from my f22. Also are there supposed/going to be extra plugs left over on the transmission side of the harness?

    There are some plugs that go to the automatic transmission that are not used for the manual, yes. Otherwise, everything should be the same as far as I know. I don't have firsthand experience, though...

      Guess I'll find out when I put the motor in. Just going to be a pain if I need to swap to a different harness, Ill let everyone know how it turns out then.

        my car was swapped from F22 to H22.
        still uses auto harness, and the ecu matches up.
        no wiring was done to remove pins or change their locations.

        so the harness should match up with lots of wires floating around.
        I am currently looking into how to remove all auto wires so I can become just manual.
        not sure if I need a complete harness, on top of that my engine is OBDII.

          yea read up on the auto to manual swap some more and Ill have to cut those extra plugs off and rewire them, if Im reading that correctly
