ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    my p12 ecu

hello everybody i justed switched out my stock ecu out of my 93 honda accord lx auto. i pluged the p12 ecu in but i have no tack and i can't get out of park. the ecu i bought was out of a prelude manual but everyone has been saying that the ecu controls engine TCU controls tranny.

    mike

EDIT: if i put my key in the thing where i switch gears. i can go but its like staying in limp mode or something. 1st gear doesn't work it just stays in overdrive. it has no power what so ever.

ok what the hell. i don't have the plug in the very small one of the three that plug into the ECU. i think it is a 16 pin connector. i didnt know i had to plug that one in. i only pluged the ones that are on either side of that 16 pin connector.

ok the ecu would control the tach or so i would think being a engine function.....also the fact that you have a extra 16 pin or so connector unplugged that could be where the tach pins out and it's simply unconnected....but the not shifting when the tranny has a tcu leaves only one thing that the fact it is a manual ecu and leaving out something between the ecu and tcu causing it to run in your limp-mode possibly being the same 16 pin connector not hooked up .......i would try automatic ecu or check out some pinouts of the ecu and on your car maybe you can do some jerry riggin if you gotta have the extra 6 or 7 hp.....PEACE

No, don't bother with a auto ECU. I had a manual P12 in my auto and it worked fine.

And did you even read his post?

He left one of the connections disconnected. I'd venture to say that is 99% of his problem.

congrats....your ECU is fried.......many failed attempts with a ECU not completely plugged can cause hell of electrical problems...

oh about the Fried ECU part i was just messing around...lol..but the rest is true..

Why does it matter where the MAP sensor is... hook it up properly, or replace it if it's faulty.
