ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    p14 and f22a6

ok i did some searching and came across some old threads that proposed the idea of using the p14 ecu with the f22a6 and gaining hp similarly to the p12 with the f22a1/4. It was believed possible because both the h23(what p14 is from) and the f22a6 have IAB. Has anyone confirmed this or experimented yet??

well the p14 ecu would require a knock sensor I believe and its tuned for a 2.3 liter engine so that would cause the f22a6 to run rich. Correct me if Im wrong?

the reason the p12 wont work is that it is designed for the a1/4 cam and wont gainas much with the a6 cam. also, it can't control the IAB like the pt6 and p14 can.

a6 is superior. You can run a p12 with the a1/a4 and have some gains, but IMO, if you have the a6, just run it. The header on the a4 is about the only useful thing, lol.

The P14 will offer no gains on the F22A.

The P12 is the ONLY stock ECU that will benefit an F22A, and it will really only benefit the F22A1 and F22A4. Even then, the benefit is minimal.

So you beat the shit out of your motor with your ECU in limp mode (which is what it will do with no o2 sensor). Smart.

Just remember, if you run a p14 on a lama it will look for a knock sensor

running a p14 will destroy your rod bearings. trashed two engines cause I used it and never got the right ecu, my ignorance costed me. so let my experience guide you...don't do it

Aside from a windage tray in the oil pan, the F22A1 bottom end is 100% identical to the F22A6 bottom end.

With no o2 sensor, you're probably putting down about 70hp to the wheels.
Why the hell would you run wiht no o2 sensor?

Yes the motor is getting the piss kick out of it... but i use it for an 1/3 mile high banked clay oval track its for racing only it never rolls down the city street so you think I'm only getting 70 HP to the wheels??? will it help to hook up the O2?? or is there a way to make the ECU think that the O2 is hooked up??and will the O2 give me more power??

Do you understand the function of the o2 sensor?
