ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

There are no mounts for the K20 yet, so you would need to buy the Hasport K24 kit and modify it. It will not be cheap or easy. I would expect to spend well over $5000 for this swap...

If you're willing to put in the money and effort, go for it. You could always sell parts from the car to help cover the cost. A lot of people start projects like this and end up quitting halfway through because it's too expensive or complicated.

hey dude if you really want the project then go for it. as others said it's expensive and time consuming. but if you are into cars like most of us and have the will and deep pockets then i don't see why u wouldn't succeed.

I'm stuck on what to do ha ha, I am a man who wants what he wants NOW! I could come up with the funds but I want to make it fast sooner, so i'm stuck between h22, building another f22 or the k20 in like 6 months!

k20 sure..it had been done before and swapped into cb7 before..but just remember...k20 stock power is like 190hp and to the wheel is like 160-ish ...what make u think it had enought power and torque to power and push forward a car that like 3-4 thousand lb....hench why alot of cb7 cd's guys are going with h22 because of powerband and torque power of h22...come on man...think think..

I've only seen two posts by you, and I'm already thoroughly convinced that you are an idiot.

Which K20? The power output ranges from 160hp to 220hp.

The K20 has not been put into a CB7 yet to my knowledge. There are no mounts for it, and it would have to be a partially custom job.

The K20's output isn't significantly less than the H22, and still a good deal more than the F22A, which has been moving the CB7s just fine for 20 years. Additionally, the RSX is within 100lbs of the CB7, and the Civic Si weighs damn near the same... possibly more than a DX.

In other countries, the CB Accords came with 2.0L and 1.8L engines. The weakest of those barely making 100hp at the crank.

If you want to tell people to think, try doing it yourself first.

ok sure...if u think i am an idiot...well to think back..u are.... collective racing from tucson arizona has done this and they selling the mount that they made for k20 to fit into cb7 and guess what ... i am from arizona.so u call me a liar then.......search before u post ...and im not saying k20 are weak..sure it can move the cb7 just like rsx or newer si..but thing of the torque ...which equal to none..even u boost the k20 from si or rsx....u can get 400hp on stock internal but u will get like 295 or below for the torque..the only reason i think that the OP willing to swap the k20 into a cb7 is either for the " i have a k20 " factor or " RARE " factor .....and second of all..you have the right to say anything to anybody you like to.also same with ur opinion but doesnt mean it alway right....

by the way here is it.....he made both the kit for k20 to fit on cb7 from rsx-or new si...in this video he had the crv motor which is k24...but present day he already had a k20 from si in the cb7

Actually, no. I know Scott fairly well from this forum (and others), and I have followed his projects. He did not make the mounts, he worked in conjunction with Hasport to develop them (Hasport made the mounts, he provided the test mule, since he has a history with Hasport... Brian from Hasport is also a member here.)

Scott's car has a K24 in it, currently running a K20 head. The K24 in his car came from a CRV, which required modification of the Hasport mounts, because they are made ONLY for the Accord K24 block.

There is not, and never was, a K20 in that car.

I'm not calling names... simply stating what you've already made painfully obvious.
