ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    E3 Spark Plugs any good?

Hey wats up Tunerz, well i recently went to the auto parts store and ive been seeing these E3 Spark Plugs which cost $5.99 a plug. has anyone tried these before or has them on their car right now?

ive never run anything but NGK's in my car. Never failed me and would never go another route. the NGK Iridiums or the NGK Laser platinums are expensive too lol. $9.99 per laser and $6.99 per iridium. Unless someone is willing to check to see if these E3's are "better", until then, NGK's are proven to work and are reliable and they do MORE then what is needed especially in a stock vehicle

I wouldnt recommend or run any other plugs in my cb or any other Asian import besides NGK/Denso. Even boosted/charged/nitrous'd, Id still run NGK/Denso, only a step or two colder, depending on setup.

NGK/denso, are what the motors are designed to run from the factory FWIW

Ya, you really can't go wrong with oem replacement's from NGK. They work great and always have.

          Also forgot to say:

STAY AWAY FROM BOSCHE PLATINUM PLUGS AND ANYONE THAT RECOMMENDS USING THEM!

90% of the time, if a customer had a stutter, miss, or shittily running car, and it had said plugs, THAT was the problem. Dont buy into the parts store's hype on the plugs. In anything besides a German car, theyre absolute garbage.

I agree about Bosch. I had Platinum 4+ plugs, and my car was not happy. Got some NGKs and it was considerably better.

You won't gain anything from any ignition system upgrades, unless you have enough done to your car to truly require it (and people have made 500hp without ever touching the stock ignition components... other than just running plugs of the proper heat range and material.)

Don't waste your money on plugs. You can get a whole set of 4 NGKs for the cost of one of those fancy things... and you'll probably get better performance.

As easy as it is to replace our spark plugs, I don't really see the point in using exotic metals, long life plugs.

There really is no point. The exotic metals are required by some engines (the H22 requires platinum). But in an engine such as the F22A, there's no need, unless modifications create such a need. Chances are, if you've modified your car enough to require "upgraded" plugs, you know enough already to understand WHY they are necessary.

hmmm..... I dont run platinums in my H22....?

I want to say they're BKR-7ES-11's.....but I could be mistaken.

Ill have to check when I get a chance.

**EDIT** JUST as I clicked submit, I noticed an ad in the banner at the top for Bosche Platinum plugs, and the "MORE HP GUARANTEED!" BS line they use at parts stores to lure patrons into buying them....LOL.

                      what'r the odds, eh?
