ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Coil overs

I used the search but could not find my answer. May sound stupid but I bought some used coil overs and wanted to know if the longer spring goes on the front or rear.

    Thanks Monza

The longer spring goes in the rear.

What brand are these coilovers? If they are a cheap no-name brand, be careful... if they fail, you crash. I would NEVER trust cheap crap on my suspension. Additionally, you would be VERY wise to replace your stock shocks when you install them. Lowering your car on 18 year old stock shocks is incredibly dangerous. You can easily lose control of your car.

Thanks for the quick answer, I have KYB AGX's on the car right now. I hope they will be good enough.

They're not made to be lowered more than 1.5", and they're not designed for a very high spring rate... but they're a hell of a lot better than stock!

                    Agreed.

However, since this guy's life is pretty much in danger... I'll reply.

                    1) you NEED better shocks. You will lose control of your car under hard braking or turning with blown shocks and stiff springs. Lowering your car on stock shocks is one of the most idiotic things you can do.

Get shocks made for lowering. Basically, anything made by Koni will be good. STR-Ts are quite inexpensive.

                    2) Get real springs, or coilover sleeves made by Ground Control. The garbage you just installed is just that... garbage. The spring rate is very high, and the quality is very low. If one of those springs or perches fail on you, you will crash. If they sag and cause uneven tire wear, you may crash.

                    3) get an alignment. A camber kit AND an alignment would be best, but at the very least, get an alignment! Otherwise, your tires will wear very quickly. Without a camber kit, your tires will wear quickly on the inside. Since the inside would be the primary contact patch, your tires will be done once that gets low... even though the middle would appear to be fine. Tires will wear much faster that way. If you don't want to replace your tires every 10,000 miles, and you don't want to lose control of your car... I strongly urge you to buy a QUALITY camber kit (Ingalls or SPC... not $30 ebay bullshit... if that breaks, you crash...)

This should answer your first question
                        http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/announcement.php?f=107

Your second sentence is merely a statement followed by a question mark. It is not a question, therefore there is no answer for it.

Right. That's usually why people ask where they can buy things... but it doesn't change the fact that it's against the rules here.
