ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

It would only make sense, look for the P14 from a 92-96 Prelude Si.

You buy this vehicle with swap already done?

It will run on the PT6, as I'm sure you've already learned... but it won't run properly. Driving it regularly on that ECU may cause damage. Get a P14 ASAP...

or if you have a capable dyno tuner in your area that is familar with the H23, you can get a P06 ECU and have it modified and tuned... but if you're nearly stock, you really don't need to worry about that.

The connectors should line up. Be sure you have an OBD1 ECU. I would assume it's an OBD2 ECU, because the PT6 is ONLY OBD1... if that's plugged in, then your harness wasn't converted.

i was looking at the pt6 & the p14. the pt6 has 2 rows of pins. while the p14 has 3 rows. does that mean the p14 i picked up was obdII?

Assuming the engine is still healthy, and all your sensors are functional... it will run as it is supposed to run. The ECU doesn't know that it's not in a Prelude... it simply controls the engine. The P14 is made for that engine.

sorry for all the questions. is there a difference between an auto p14 and a 5-spd p14? thanks

Yes, there is a diff. between auto and manual. For manual Accords and Preludes, you can run auto or manual ecu's. For auto's, I'm not sure if you can do the same. But auto ecu's I believe are mapped differently to shift smoother, manual ecu's are more simple. I would suggest getting the proper ecu for your setup. Maybe someone could chime in w/ an auto using a manual ecu, if that's even possible Also, you know how to read the #'s correct? Above A50 is auto, anything less than A50 (usually around A00-A11) is manual.

I've heard a few people say that the ECU doesn't matter, since the TCU controls the transmission... but I have yet to hear that from someone that is really an expert in such things. Getting the proper ECU would be the best option.
