ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That's just what happens. When the camber is corrected on a lowered CB, the upper control arm hits the inner fender. It has nothing to do with your shocks. Either have the camber adjusted for -1 degree, or do what the others above said and bang out the fender... be sure to paint it afterward, or you'll have to deal with rust.

Also, I assume that since your first thought was blown shocks that you are lowered on stock shocks. This is an extremely stupid thing to do. Replace those shocks ASAP! Koni STR-Ts are very affordable, and will handle any drop.

Lowering on stock struts is one of deev's pet peeves. I've been here only a short while, but I think I see him post this same response 5-6 times a day!
He's right though, on all accounts. He's a wise tuner with a lot of regard for your safety on the road, and his own, since, he may be driving on the same road as you some day!

Not really a pet peeve... I just don't care to see any of my members hurt themselves or anyone else because they lost control of their car. Blown shocks will seriously compromise your ability to maintain control of your vehicle, especially under hard braking or cornering, when you need that control the most!

true! my handling is down the shitter rite now
any bump or pothole sends my car sideways
ive kinda learned to control it
and for this reason is why i dont drive wrecklessly (for now)
i will be getting kyb shocks this weekend and installing them asap

If you're lower than 1.5", or have a spring rate higher than 15% over stock, then KYB has nothing for you. Get Konis. Koni STR-T are a hell of a lot better than KYB GR2s, and they're nearly the same price.

And driving your car like that at all is reckless... at least you're not driving around like speed racer, but simply driving it normally is dangerous. Bumps and potholes send you sideways... what happens when a 6 year old chases a ball out into the street in front of you? You won't be able to stop. You'll slam on the brakes, and your wheels will hop all over the place. If the tires aren't on the ground, they're not stopping you.

                        im sure they are "good"

but idk why anyone wouldnt just pay 6-8 dollars more for kony yellows.

and i believe eli has agx's in the rear and koni's up front.

Good? Yes. Quality? Yes. Made for a drop lower than 1.5"? No. KYB will tell you that directly. Made for a very stiff "race" spring? No. KYB GR2s are rated for springs 15% stiffer than stock. I don't know the specs of the AGXs, but something tells me they're about the same.

AGXs are intended to be a performance shock upgrade for an otherwise stock car.

Konis, on the other hand, are made for performance applications.

I don't care who has what on their car... Just because some screen names on a forum say something is good enough for them doesn't make them an expert.

but for now my car is sitting at home
one of my tires just went completely bald and the steel wire is showing
the camber wear on my tires got worse after i installed the camber kit
                            dont know why dat happened

"dat"? come on man... we're adults here. If you want to type like an idiot, you'll be treated like an idiot.

Did you have an alignment done when you installed the camber kit? Or did you just slap the kit on and expect it to fix things?
