ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You seriously replaced the ignitor already? That should have fixed it.

yeh its got me stumped i looked into it and everywhere i went said that would fix it. im trying to figure out where that blue wire that goes from the ignitor ends up

The blue wire is for the rpm wire for the ecu and tachometer among other things I'm almost positive. Where did you get a replacement ignitor from?

hmm that's a good deal. Did you clean off the old and apply new thermal paste when you installed it? From what I've read it is somewhat like installing a processor in a computer.

i have no other symptoms of an ignitor liek car stallign out while driving and having to let it cool off to start it again or anything like that. its just the stupid tach problem and a cold start problem.

You might want to share with everyone that your wire harness is completely hacked up by the previous owner. That IS your problem... I guess my advice didn't mean much, though, and you had to make another thread.

Good luck to you. Have fun replacing random parts that don't fix your problem. I'm done helping.

could be a faulty ground then if it is indeed a wiring issue. if the ignitor is trying to ground the primary side of the coil and it never goes to ground...spark never gets distributed.

It COULD be something else... but until you fix your wiring, everyone is going to tell you to replace things, like that ignitor, that may not have actually been bad.

Replace the goddamn wiring harness, and we'll go from there. Trust me. Unless you like dumping a ton of money into things that aren't going to fix your problem...
