ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Fuel Cut-Off Relay

I'm trying to test my fuel pump and I cannot find the fuel cut off relay, per the service manual.

    Chilton also says this:
Remove the screws securing the under dash fuse box to its mount. Remove the fuel cut-off relay from the back of the fuse block and turn the block so you can see the relay mount.

Does anybody have a better description of where this relay is. I've done a lot of searching and I've come up empty handed. A lot of people have said it's the same as the main relay, but the pins clearly don't match the image.

It's actually the Main Relay that controls this and it's directly under the coin holder under the dash (In that direction). I forget what you have to move out of the way, but it's not difficult and actually in plain view once you know what you’re looking for. I know exactly what you’re going through, I had the same picture and must have went under that dash numerous time before I found it. It was right in front of my face...LMAO

Ps...Let me know if u'd like me to take a pic of it's location & I’ll see what I can do as my beast is gonna get some more lovin' soon!

If the main relay is in fact the same, how do I account for the fact that the pins aren't the same as the ones pictured?

Never mind. I found a different page in the service manual which gives the correct pin connections for testing the fuel pump.

Pg 6-215... if anyone comes to this later.
