ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    spark plug wires

does the size of the wires really do anything? like ngk are 7mm then i see this vision brand thats 10.2mm. is it just a selling point? or is a wire just a wire?

also which ngk plugs are the best?

Unless you have anything serious done to your car, such as forced induction or high compression, standard NGK plus will work just fine.

Thicker wires can flow more power, but that's not necessary until you need it... and the stock stuff will handle more power than a FWD street car will ever need. As far as we're concerned, expensive big wires are simply a gimmick. Quality does matter, though. NGK again is all you'll need.

I bought my car with the ngk's on it and they are awesome they are the standard size so there isn't all of that unneccessarry(not sure i spelled that right) amount of money put into wires if you are running stock...deevergote is right on the quality of those wires, i speak from experience..so go with the next up from stock ngk wires..don't worry about getting the bigger ones bro

A year ago i spent $75 on RED bosch sparkplug wires, they started breaking apart around the conector area, seperated the rubber boot from the wire and came unplugged from the plug a few times, a week ago i bought blue NGK wires for $45, Waaaay better quality, feel very durable and they still smell like new shoes. Cant go wrong with NGK, i feel dumb for paying almost twice as much for half the quality... Not that Bosch is bad, i just wont buy them again.

right now i'm running 8mm accel wires. if i understand correctly, brand > size. so 7mm NGKs are better than 10mm no-names. thats what i was thinking, just wanted to double-check. thanks for the info every1!

Bosch makes good products... just not for our cars. Accel is another brand that is focused more on other makes (domestics, mainly)

QUALITY is better than size. The only wires I'll ever run will be either NGK or Sumitomo.
