ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    piping size ??

    Dear master n guru's,

i'm newbie here.. just want to know which one of the piping size more ideal with this kind of setting :-

    a) Header 4-2-1 custom made
    b) RS*R magic muffler
    c) H22A type S (SiR)

my next project is to match those with RS*R header or Skunk or mugen .. for time being i'm using 2.5" piping.. but feel not power enough.. may be any suggestion or opinion ?? thanks for the reply

2.5" is the best size for a mild H22. You will have to do quite a bit more to the engine to need any larger.

2.5 will be best it will have good flow and keep the back pressure thats needed to still make the power

Please explain to me how backpressure is needed. I'm very curious.

            So why say it again?

And it's not "best"... just best for a mild application. If he goes with extreme modifications, larger would work well.

agreed on this, i wanna hear why. I can tell you from this point backpressure isnt even a true concept. its all about diameter and gas velocity. fluid dynamics really. also a basis of the venturi effect and such.

just keep that 2.5 on the h22. the most power will come from a smooth flowing mandrel bent exhaust. use straight through mufflers and resonators. essentially you want the least number of bends as well.

2.5 will do , also how is you torque step pipe designed ? i have a custom one made from magnaflow . the more air you bring in the motor , the more you want coming out.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

so the best option is 2.5 with the straight piping ?? i heard it's good for pick up.. what about the long distances ? isn't that will kill you top speed ?? i'm still looking for one setting piping with my cb.. thanks again for any reply..
