If I was to put my cb on some coilovers I don't want my downpipe to mess up so is there something I could do to prevent it but still drop it?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

...aside from the fact that it's extremely dangerous. No name coilovers are not to be trusted, and their spring rates are very high. KYB GR2s are designed for a spring rate no higher than 15% over stock. It's a very stupid combination.
If you can't lower your car safely and properly, don't touch your suspension. If that fails, you crash. You'll be lucky if all you do is destroy your own car. Chances are, you'll injure yourself, or someone else. When it fails, it won't be when you're cruising at 20mph. It'll be when you're racing someone like a dumbass on the highway, or when you have to suddenly stop or turn to avoid an accident.

Quality shocks.Originally posted by Ryan3davlin_cb7 View PostWell I got some ground control coilovers. So I guess that's sort of a plus. And I am going to be extremely careful. anything else I need to know?
If you are worried about your downpipe scraping , you just need to be more careful on steep ramps and potholes.

How low are you planning on lowering your vehicle?
I am dropped 4.5" on neuspeed springs and koni yellows and my downpipe does not hit at all. Just take big dips and driveways at an angle and you should be good.Originally posted by 92jdmif you have any mechanical inclination, it should be easier than a drunk highschool girl after prom.

How did you manage to achieve a drop that's 2x's lower than the advertised drop of the lowest springs Neuspeed offers?Originally posted by Chico Suave View PostI am dropped 4.5" on neuspeed springs and koni yellows

My buddy got them for his prelude, decided on a different set. Installed them on my car, ended up being about a 4" drop.Originally posted by JoshM View PostHow did you manage to achieve a drop that's 2x's lower than the advertised drop of the lowest springs Neuspeed offers?Originally posted by 92jdmif you have any mechanical inclination, it should be easier than a drunk highschool girl after prom.
