ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    whats this?

I got 3 engine codes today, here is what i got.

    code 15- ignition output signal
    code 20- electric load detector
code 41- heated oxygen sensor heater

If anyone can steer me in the right direction to fix this i would really appreciate the help.

    thanks,

    #2
Code 41 means you have to replace the oxygen sensor. Use NGK/NTK or Denso ONLY. Do not use a Bosch sensor.

15 and 20 are codes I've never encountered myself. They sound like a bad distributor to me, but I may be 100% wrong there. Hopefully someone else can confirm, or correct my guess.

Code 15 is inside the dizzy (check for a loose wire as this rarely dies from my knowledge.

Code 20 lies within the alternator.

If you got all of these codes at one time something may be terribly wrong.

They could also be indicative of damaged wiring, or even a failing ECU (a completely failed ECU would give a solid CEL, but one that's on the way out could give screwy codes.)

If you have access to another ECU, it might be worth your time to swap to check for that, before you start replacing expensive parts.

Well it may be the dizzy, because the original one was leaking oil into the dizzy via a bad seal. I had my friend swap the internals into another housing with a good seal and since then i have had the cel. As for the o2 sensor i will get another this weekend, and will the dizzy from an F22B1 work? Also does installing the H23 intake manny show any signs of hp gain?

The F22B1 dizzy won't work. Swapping the dizzy internals may have also caused an issue. Replace it with a full working F22A dizzy.

Yes, the H23 intake manifold gives a gain. Fix your car first, before thinking about upgrading it.

Well we opened up the dizzy and found the problem. The rotor on the dizzy fit loose. We are going to replace and see if that fixes the problem. As for the h23 intake manny I got it for free and was just woundering what kind of gains. Come from this mod. Thanks for the help guys.

The gains haven't been measured, but a larger plenum and throttle body WILL provide some gains.
